In Avalonia, a land surrounded by endless mountain walls, Jaeger Clade and his teenage son Searcher are brave adventurers in the wilderness in search of a new world. While trying to cross the mountains, researchers found green plants that provide energy. He and the rest of the mission team decided to return to Avalonia with the factory while Jaeger continued his mission alone. Twenty-five years later, researchers made a name for themselves by introducing the miracle plant Pando, the source of fuel for Avalonia. He and his wife Meridian are Pando farmers, while his son Ethan is fascinated by his friend Diazo and is jealous of his father's expectations that he too will become a farmer. One night, Callisto Mal, the head of Avalonia and a former teammate of Jaeger's mission, appears on her Venture plane, tells Clades that Pando is losing power, and asks search engines to help find the cause. He embarks on a mission to travel into the vast canyon where the roots of Pando are located. As Ethan walks away on the Venture with their Legend dog, Meridian chases them in a crop-duster to find him. The Venture, attacked by an animal resembling a red wyvern, lands in an underground world where Searcher and Legend are separated from the group. They were attacked by an animal called the "Reaper" but were rescued by Jaeger, who had lived underground for years. He tried to cross the mountain from below but was blocked by the acid ocean and confirmed his intention to ascend. Venture to try to get through it. Meanwhile, Ethan steals from the Venture to find his father. He named the blue creature "Splat" before meeting Searcher, Legend and Jaeger. They were attacked by more Reapers but were rescued by Meridian and Callisto and returned to Venture.
